Spring update for your garden
The weather is finally warming up, the sun is shining, days are getting longer…it’s time to get your gardening gloves on and get out there. Let’s prepare your garden for the months ahead; especially summer. Lets have a look at your garden and make a list of things you should fix before the summer.
Add colour to your fence panels
This year is all about bright colours, to add rich and vibrant colour to your fence, shed or even your garden furniture you can use fade resistant exterior wood paints. There are plenty of colours to choose from. You don’t have to go overboard though, keep it simple. Or you can stick to your regular colour but just re-painting your fence to protect it against the elements. After winter you may need to fix loose fence panels or gates.
Clean your patio and decking areas
Wooden decking, stone patios and paved pathways look a bit dull after wet winter months. Clean any slippery mould, leaves, dirt and algae using a pressure washer. Your decking and stone slabs will be clean and bring out the natural colour. It’s also a good time to clean your garden furniture. If you don’t like to get messy why not book a patio and decking cleaning service.
Tidy up your lawn and borders
There are still some spring showers so it could be tricky to mow the lawn but you can still tidy up the edges, beds and borders. Make your lawn edges neat by trimming them with garden shears. Don’t forget to trim hedges, overgrown branches on trees and bushes.
